nice one! you gave Priya 1 πŸ‘. you've got 4 peaches left today.

how it works in Slack

no new app to open. everything happens where your team already talks.

πŸ‘

peach reactions

add the :peach: reaction to any message in a channel Prince Peach is in. if the message tags a few people, he quietly asks you who it's for. then he counts it and says thanks.

πŸ’¬

@name + πŸ‘

or just say it: @Marcus :peach: for the launch in any channel he's in. one peach per πŸ‘, to everyone you tag.

⌨️

/peaches

give with a reason (/peaches @Marcus for the launch), check your balance, or open the store.

πŸ’¬

just message him

click Prince Peach in your sidebar and say balance to see what you've got and what you've been peached for, or store for the store.

πŸ“£

the friday round-up

a weekly post in the channel of your choice, celebrating the moments that got the most peaches.

set up in about 5 minutes

you'll need to be able to add apps to your workspace. if you can't, send this page to whoever can.

  1. 1

    add givepeaches to Slack

hit β€œadd to Slack”. if your workspace restricts apps, an admin will get a request to approve it.

  2. 2

    check the permissions

Slack shows you exactly what we're asking for. there's a plain-english version below, so there are no surprises.

  3. 3

invite Prince Peach to your channels

peaches only count in channels he's in. start with the ones where wins get shared.

  4. 4

    pick your settings

choose the channel for the friday round-up, how many peaches everyone gets a day (5 is the default), and whether to switch the store on.

  5. 5

    tell your team

we'll give you a message to paste in #general. something like this:

    πŸ‘ we've added givepeaches!
see someone do great work? react with :peach: (or type /peaches). you get 5 a day to give. Prince Peach counts them up, and there's a store where you can spend the ones you receive.

permissions, in plain english

what Prince Peach asks for, and why he needs it.

he can…so that…
see reactionshe can spot πŸ‘ reactions and count them.
read messages in channels he's inhe can spot messages with an @mention and a πŸ‘, and quote the message that got peached in the thank-you. he ignores everything else, and he's only in channels you invite him to.
post messageshe can confirm peaches, send thank-yous and post the friday round-up, always as himself.
read messages you send himyou can message Prince Peach directly to check your balance or give a peach. he only reads your chat with him, never anyone else's DMs.
add a slash command/peaches works.
see your member listyou can peach @people and see names in the store.

questions

does it work on Slack's free plan?

yes. givepeaches is one app, and Slack's free plan lets you add a handful. it works the same on every paid Slack plan too.

can we use our own emoji instead of πŸ‘?

yes. admins can choose which reaction counts, so if your workspace has a custom peach (or a crown), use that.

does it work in private channels and DMs?

private channels, yes, once you invite Prince Peach in. DMs, no. peaches are for celebrating in the open.

what about Enterprise Grid and Slack Connect?

Grid support is on the roadmap. in Slack Connect channels, peaches only count for people in your own workspace.

want peaches in your workspace?

free for teams of up to 10. everyone else gets a 30-day free trial, no card needed.
